Where do memories sleep?
This series explores the nature of our memories and the passing of time through a medium that both reflects and distorts. Why do we remember certain memories and forget others? Will we remember the memories we hold today, or will we only recall the memories of tomorrow? The use of aluminum foil, with its reflective yet malleable properties, serves as a metaphor for the way memories evolve, sometimes becoming clear and vivid, and at other times, fragmented or even faded. Aluminum is also a part of our everyday lives whether during outings with family or in the small details surrounding us. It has always been present, almost like a tool capturing fragments of our memories over time.

Echoes of stillness
In a world that sometimes feels like it’s spinning faster than usual, we often try to keep up, forgetting the beauty of stillness. This work highlights the presence of stillness amidst the relentless motion of the world. It invites viewers to ponder: What does it mean to stay still when the earth is spinning?
Reminding us to slow down, take a breath, and celebrate the often-discarded parts of the world, the fallen leaves we step on, the crashing waves, the hot seashells, the wood. Through the interplay of light, texture, and words, the artwork encourages contemplation, inviting viewers to find solace and serenity.

When the desert touches the sea
This artwork is part of an ongoing series that started in 2021. “When the desert touches the sea” captures the beauty when deserts and the sea intertwine. It’s a simple reflection on nature’s fleeting moments and the beauty found in unexpected connections. But it focuses specifically on the UAE and how it is a desert amidst the sea.
Despite the world seeing the UAE to be very monotone, I see it full of colors; a simple sand grain contains a flow of colors. Stripping away details, this work becomes a universal representation of the temporary nature.

Hidden Whispers
This work is born from the intricate process of constructing and deconstructing a narrative, a poem. As an artist my work is profoundly influenced by poetry, serving as the foundational pillar behind every creation. However, I seldom bring it into the spotlight; it remains concealed, akin to whispers. Hidden Whispers reveals five poetic fragments and snippets that lead up to a single poem, unveiling a forbidden love story between the desert and the sea.

To date dossier
This work delves into the multifaceted meanings of the word "date," both in its literal and metaphorical senses. Using mixed media, I created a letter meticulously detailing my complex relationship with “date” and its various connotations. Through this work, I aim to unravel the intricacies of her relationship with the word "date" by exploring its sweet fruity significance, personal, and lingual implications. This work becomes a reflection of her thoughts, experiences, and emotions surrounding this seemingly simple word. Rather than a straightforward narrative, Reem's letter takes on a poetic form, assembling different contexts and double meanings of "date." From personal to calendar entries, from palm fruits to historical timelines, every iteration of the word adds depth to her exploration. This work navigates the nuances of language, inviting viewers to contemplate the power of words in shaping our perceptions and experiences. It serves as a celebration of language, and the complexity of human connections, all encapsulated within a single word: "date."

Gift Basket
Remember the thrill of childhood when a single dirham unlocked the surprise within a toy machine? The excitement of which color of gum ball will I get? That sense of anticipation, the joy of the unknown. This work features 200 poems, each rolled and placed inside the machine, not just touching nostalgia but offering a chance to reconnect with our younger selves, to relive that moment once again, as adults.
